Tschechu (Festival)

To see a festival, add a day to any of the cultural tours and arrive on one of the dates listed in the itineraries.

Fishing

We can arrange fishing opportunities in the lakes and rivers for around $10/person/day with advance notice. Fishing is best to the east of Punakha. It is best to add a day to one of the tour itineraries. You will want to bring your own fishing equipment.

Rafting

Add a day in Punakha and see Bhutan from the river's viewpoint. Starting at $90/person for a group of 5 people. All equipments are provided for the rafters, including helmet, wet suit, spray jacket, life vest etc.

Float trips on the Mo Chu River are Class I and take 1.5 hours of floating. White water rafting (Class II and III rapids) is on Pho Chu River, which takes about 2.5 hours.

Rafting can be done March-May and October-December.

Kayaks are available for $35/kayak/day.

Monastery Chanting

We can arrange to attend chanting sessions at a monastery with advance notice. However, you will probably not be able to take photographs.

Customized Tours

Tours can be customized to emphasize outdoor activities, religious sites, architecture, medicine, and crafts.
