The Giraffe center is a wonderful and educataional experience. The tour gives an up close and personal interaction with the giraffes where the guests have the opportunity to view and feed the giraffes. The center is situated on 120 acres of forested land where the African Fund for the Endangered Wildlife has successfully raised the endangered Rothchild giraffes. $10/adult and $5/child
Karen Blixen house where the house history dates back to 1914 during the First World War with the arrival of Karen Blixen, the author of "Out of Africa", from Denmark. Karen Blixen established herself as a farmer at the foot of the Ngong Hills until her departure in 1931.
Also located in the Karen area outside of Nairobi, this park has a lake, restaurants, boat rides, crocodile farm, ostriches and other birds, camel rides, children's playground, gardens, and mini-golf. It's a great location for lunch, for play time for kids, or just an afternoon of relaxing.
The orphanage rehabilitates elephants and other wildlife and then releases them back into the wild when they are ready. It was established in memory of David Sheldrick, a famous naturist and founder of Tsavo East National Park in Kenya. It is only open for 1 hour between 11am and 12pm and includes a lecture on the work they do there. $5/person minimum donation requested
The Museum has excellent exhibits of history, culture and art from Kenya and East Africa.
Bomas of Kenya is a cultural center that exposes you to different tribes of Kenya. The center let's you see the diversity of cultures that make up Kenya. The term Bomas, means "homestead" in Swahili, Kenya's national language.
The Nairobi National Park is located 10 minutes away from the central business district. The park has a diversity of wildlife including zebra, leopards, hippopotamus, crocodile, gazelles, giraffes and cape buffaloes. In addition, there are two exotic restaurants located in the park that offer international cuisine.
Price includes car and driver, but does not include any entrance fees or tips.
The Hell's Gate National Park is located 1.5 hours away from Nairobi near Lake Naivasha. The Park is famous for its sheer vertical cliffs that are popular with rock climbers and trekking enthusiasts and birders. Hiking and biking are offered at the park. Animals found in the park include zebras, buffaloes gazelles and many different species of birds.
This trips starts with a 2–3 hour drive to Lake Nakuru National Park through the spectacular scenery of the Great Rift Valley. Lake Nakuru National Park is home to thousands of flamingos that live on this shallow soda lake containing blue green algae. Birding is spectacular here because it is also home to over 400 species of birds. The park is a sanctuary for animals and is therefore a good place to see the rare white and black rhinoceros as well as the endangered Rothschild giraffe and the elusive leopard.
