Overview

In eight days, you can get to the Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Samburu, and Aberdares.

Departures:

Private departures start every day of the year.
Group departures with standard lodging start every Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday.
Group departures with camping start every Saturday.

Itinerary

8 DAY ABERDARES / SAMBURU / NAKURU / MASAI MARA

DAY 01: NAIROBI / ABERDARES

Depart Nairobi for the Aberdare National park while noticing the beautiful surroundings as you get into the Kikuyu Community Farmlands. After arrival check into the Tree hotel for lunch. Here you will spend the better part of the afternoon viewing animals from the balcony of the Lodge. The Lodge has been built in front of water hole that contains minerals & salts that the animals came to lick. In the night the activity of the animals is intensified & you're able to view them with the help of powerful beam lights overlooking the waterholes. Dinner & overnight at the Tree hotel.

DAY 02 - ABERDARES – SAMBURU G. RESERVE

Depart Tree Hotel for Samburu via the scenic surroundings of Mount Kenya area. On arrival, check into the Lodge for lunch & after a brief relaxation proceed on for an evening game drive in search for lions, elephants, gerenuk, grevy’s zebra, onyx, the reticulated giraffe and other plains game. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

DAY 03 - SAMBURU G. RESERVE

Early morning game drives, return to the Lodge for breakfast, after breakfast another game drive, return for lunch at the Lodge. Relaxation at the Lodge followed by an evening game drive, dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

DAY 04 - SAMBURU G. RESERVE – LAKE NAKURU

Depart after breakfast past the northern tip of the Aberdare Mountains to descend into the Great Rift Valley where Lake Nakuru is located. Lake Nakuru is home to thousands of flamingoes, buffalo, lions, zebra, giraffe & other animal & bird species. On arrival at the lodge for lunch proceed for an evening game drive, dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

DAY 05 - LAKE NAKURU - MASAI MARA

After breakfast proceed to Masai Mara. Arrive at the Lodge in time for lunch & proceed on for a game drive in search for black manned lions, elephants, leopards, buffalo, rhino and other plain game. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

DAY 06 - MASAI MARA

This day is spent game viewing across the rich tree studded grassland and rolling hills. The famous Masai Mara is renowned for its great herds of plains game, black manned lion, leopard, cheetah & elephants. All meals at the Lodge.

DAY 07 - MASAI MARA

From the Lodge we explore the Mara region packed with the elephants, zebras, rhinos and all kinds of game throughout the year. All meals at the Lodge.

DAY 08 - MASAI MARA - NAIROBI.

Breakfast and proceed on to Nairobi. Lunch on this day is not included.
