BOULDER, Colorado -- This May, Adventures Within Reach is introducing six new dates to their 2007 Tanzania trip calendar. But there is no need for you guys to start packing, these Kilimanjaro trips are just for the ladies. You will be in the company of other women from all over the world sharing the same dream of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and experiencing the unforgettable wildlife and culture of East Africa.
“In the past couple years, we have seen a tremendous interest in women’s only adventures by groups, girlfriends, and solo travelers,” commented Robin Paschall, owner of Adventures Within Reach. “While every group that sets out to achieve something as challenging as climbing Kilimanjaro will bond and develop friendships, there is definitely a different dynamic at play when the group is all spirited women,” continued Paschall.
The trek up Kilimanjaro requires no technical climbing experience, and any moderately fit person can summit the mountain. A local guide is required to hike Kilimanjaro. Porters will also go on the trip to carry your luggage, food, and other equipment. Guests only have to carry a day pack with daily essentials. The six new women’s only trips will include three different packages featuring a six-day or seven-day trek on the Machame Route or a five-day trek on the Marangu Route, and game drives including; Lake Manyara, Serengeti, and the Ngorongoro Crater.
