For the more adventurous, Nepal offers some of the most amazing treks in the world including the Everest Base Camp and Annapurna regions.
Nepal is rich in its Buddhist and Hindu religions. Tours of these sites as well as a safari in Chitwan National Park show you the best of Nepal.
Overview
Nepal boasts eight of the world's tallest mountains and the world's oldest Hindu and Buddhist sites. While Kathmandu Valley is made of three ancient cities filled with enchanting medieval palaces, pagodas, temples, statues and stupas, the rest of the kingdom offers unparalleled adventure options with abundance in flora and fauna. As for its people -- from the Tharus that shares their land with the splendid Asian tuskers in the plains to the brave Yak herders of Dolpo -- they are as amazing as the land itself. Here in its tropical jungles, the Royal Bengal Tiger prowls, and higher up, the legend of the Yeti lives on. Although modernization has set in, the quintessence of ancient Nepal remains amongst its people.

Tours
Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, is also known as Kantipur. The rich tapestry of the cultural heritage of Nepal is synthesized in the Kathmandu Valley. The Valley is a living museum of Nepali civilization and culture. It’s towering pagodas with fascinating architecture and artistic workmanship along with former King’s Palaces can easily win the heart of culture loving visitors. Kathmandu is a constant source of attraction because of its location and its wealth of important Hindu and Buddhist shrines.
Nagarkot, lying at an altitude of 7200ft (2195m) and about 32km east of Kathmandu, is a very popular tourist destination. The top of Nagarkot commands accelerating views in all directions. The view of the Himalayas from Nagarkot encompasses more that 200 miles of snowcapped peaks, from Annapurna in the west beyond Everest in the east. At sunrise and sunset (if the weather is clear), the mountains perform a light show unrivaled by any other mountain range.
Safari in Chitwan National Park
Chitwan, which means “heart of the jungle” is one of the finest national parks in Asia, renowned for its diverse and dense wildlife and excellent lodges, which provide the opportunity to observe animals in their natural habitat. It is among the last surviving examples of continuous band of forests and grasslands, which once extended from the Indus River in Pakistan to the Burmese border.
