Overview

This trip is the ultimate east Africa experience! Climb Mt. Meru, Mt. Kilimanjaro, Mt. Kenya, and Ol Doinyo Lengai, and enjoy a safari to some of the most beautiful locations east Africa has to offer!

This month long adventure is a culmination of all the must-do's both in Kenya and Tanzania. You will get to experience plains and mountaintops, see the wildlife and native Maasai people, and develop an understanding of the amazing beauty that east Africa has to offer.

Kili Mt. Kilimanjaro is the highest peak in Africa at 19,340 feet. It is made of three inactive volcanic cones: Kibo, Mawenzi, and Shira. The summit is Uhuru Peak on Kibo.

Mt. Kenya Mt. Kenya is the second highest mountain in Africa reaching 17,060 feet. It is a technical climb to reach the true peak, but trekkers can get to 16,355 feet (Point Lenana). Mt. Kenya is an extinct volcano that erupted around 3 million years ago and still has a few small glaciers amongst the peaks.

Mt. Meru Mt. Meru is the third highest mountain in africa at 14,980 feet. It is an active volcano that last erupted in 1910. Mt. Meru makes a great warm-up trek for Kilimanjaro, but is spectacular in its own right with incredible views and wildlife.

Lengai Ol Doinyo Lengai is only 9525 feet, but the trek is quite steep and slippery. It is an active volcano with its last eruption in 2007. The lava here is completely unique in composition to any other volcano, and the summit is truly something from another world.
