Overview
- 7 days on the Machame Route (clean up Kilimanjaro)
- 7 days volunteering
- 5 days on safari
This is an excellent opportunity to give back to the people and environment of Tanzania. While on the mountain, you will be doing a variety of clean up projects. This route is often done in 6 days, so you will go at a slower pace to provide extra time on the mountain. You can attempt to summit, or just focus on the amazing scenery.
After the trek, you will see three of the most famous parks in Tanzania and the incredible animals that live there. To finish your trip, we will arrange a volunteer project where you can help with construction projects, medical help, cleaning and washing, and education.
Itinerary
Here is one possible itinerary, but we can customize it to fit your time frame and interests:
| DAY 1: | Arrive Kilimanjaro Airport, transfer, overnight hotel in Moshi |
| DAY 2: | Morning walk to waterfalls, afternoon tour of Moshi, overnight hotel in Moshi |
| DAY 3: | Morning free, afternoon visit to TunaHAKI Center for Street Children, overnight hotel in Moshi |
| DAY 4-10: | 7 day Kilimanjaro trek on Machame Route, clean up garbage, optional summit |
| DAY 11-15: | 5 day safari including Lake Manyara, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater, overnight in Wildlife Lodges |
| DAY 16-22: | Week long volunteer program |
| DAY 23: | Drive to Moshi, overnight hotel in Moshi |
| DAY 24: | Depart Kilimanjaro Airport |
