Airfare is not included in the price of your trip, but we can help you make flight arrangements. In Uganda, the airport is Entebbe in Kampala (EBB). In Rwanda, the airport is in Kigali (KGL).
From Europe, the easiest way to get to Uganda directly from London is with British Airways. Brussels Airlines fly to Entebbe, Kigali or Nairobi from Brussels. Ethiopian Airlines fly from London to Uganda and Rwanda via Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. KLM flies to Uganda from Amsterdam.
In East Africa, Kenya Airways has daily flights to Uganda and Rwanda from Nairobi, Kenya. RwandAir has regular connections between Uganda and Rwanda and to Rwanda from Nairobi, Kenya and the Kilimanjaro Airport in Tanzania. The RwandAir flights between Kilimanjaro and Kigali only fly Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
From the USA, clients need to fly to Europe and then get connecting flights to Entebbe and Kigali. Emirates flies from New York to Entebbe and Nairobi via Dubai.
From South Africa, with South African Airways has flights from Johannesburg.
Main roads are generally good but travel is much slower than on European or American roads. Secondary roads are of variable quality and often slow and bumpy especially around the gorilla parks. Be prepared for long car journeys often taking most of the day. Four-wheel drive vehicles are required for certain routes in the rainy season. Light aircraft can also be chartered to the main airfields.
